About

Our working lives and our home lives are merging through the development of technology and through a growing need for a more flexible working practices for employees.

Who needs flexible working? The obvious answer is parents - stay at home Moms and Dads, homeschooling parents and families. Parents who want to be able to fit a job or career around family obligations and needs.

But it's not just parents who need flexible working - there are many other kinds of dependents within families where it's important for the bread winner or wage earner to be able to set more flexible working hours or more flexible working locations.

And then it's not always about need. Many of us simply want more balance in our lives, the chance to travel more freely and not be anchored to a schedule or location set by our companies.

Developments in technology and digital media makes the chance to work 'from home, from the coffee shop down the road, from the beach' a much easier proposition for a great many of us.

The opportunities are out there, this blog aims to help you find those opportunities and make the most out of them.

But getting a flexible job is only half the story.

There's also a tough side to working away from the traditional work environment though. Setting your own hours, working without direct supervision. supervising the kids while meeting your own deadlines, any number of distractions, IT problems.

Supporting each other while we navigate this new world of work is the primary goal of this website.
